The top tier of boys and girls. The girls are the bitchiest and yet seem to have the biggest line of boys lining up for the chance to take them out to dinner. They have no mercy for the ugly and no patience for the many suitors knocking on their door. The girls are here to rule the school and maybe make a few pit stops along the way to hook up with people that are deemed worthy of their time. They always have the inside scoop on gossip as well as the whereabouts of the latest party. You can catch them at the local scene dancing up a storm and they are never shy from the club scene. As for the library, forget it. The girls would rather pay some geek to do their homework than actually step inside a library. As for the guys, they are your typical ‘I’m the bomb’ boys that roam the hallways of any school. They walk around Mammoth as if it was their private wrecking ground. They take out the weak and look past the girls who aren’t to their standards. You know the type. The guys who look around and think they are so much better looking than any other boy in the room. They are the jocks who score the winning goal, the boys who always have some place to be on Friday nights and the kids who never cease to amaze us with their ability to snag any chick they want. This groups is the closest knit but they are also the biggest back stabbers and trash talkers. Want to be on the top? Well, you need to know how to walk the walk and talk the talk to be a Diamond. As they say, if you can’t take the gossip, get out of high school and beg your parents to home school you.

HEARTS;;

HiGH SCHOOL PEACE MAKERS

The heart and soul of Mammoth, this group tries to be it all. By attempting to be nice, funny and caring they keep Flax from turning into a soap opera. They are generally level headed and grounded however, if you are trying to stir up some drama they won't promise not to take you down. It is made a bit harder to do their job of keeping the peace when there are the headstrong Diamonds and the lovers of good drama Clubs, but they manage. The girls try to keep the drama at a minimum and keep the other girls from trying to strangle each other in the hallways. According to statistics, cat fights are at an all time high so the girls have a big job to do. The boys use humor to try and defuse situations. When worst comes to worst, however, they have no problem with physically breaking up a fight. The boys of this group are generally level headed and cool tempered. You won't find any boy in this group spending a night in a holding cell for getting in a fight. The Hearts try to be the group that everyone likes. Of course, some times it backfires when they try to be too nice. Everyone hates a do-gooder. Their only downfall, besides fear of being labeled as a 'do-gooder' would be their huge hearts. As said by a very smart man, "Hearts will never be practical until they can be made unbreakable." The members of this group have huge hearts and get attached really easily. They are easily broken down and brought down by some of the other groups. While they try to keep their demeanor as happy-go-lucky, even the good ones have their bad days. The Hearts aren't perfect in any means, but they try to do the right thing. They are the peace makers and sweet ones of Mammoth.

CLUBS;;

HiGH SCHOOL TROUBLE

The movers, the shakers and the heart breakers all fall into this group. The Clubs live to shake up the lives of the students and citizens of Flax. Clubs thrive on drama, and love creating it and watching it play out. Hell, they love just watching drama in general. Instead of going into the bathroom to use the facilities, they go in with sharpies and rumors. Most of the drama spread on the walls of the lovely Mammoth bathrooms can be credited to the members of this group. Half of the stuff is obviously made up, but how can you tell when within a group of lies there is some truth? Clubs fill the walls with stuff they over heard, rumors that they know will get people angry and then there is the stuff they just make up. Due to their nature, you can never tell which one is the stuff they know is true and what was made up in their drama loving mind. If the town is getting even just a little boring, trust the Clubs to shake it up a bit. The girls are notorious for sleeping with already spoken for boys. And no, they can't use the excuse that they 'didn't know' because most likely, they looked for a boy who was taken to get with. Why hook up with a single guy when you can work a little harder to break up a 'perfect' couple? As for the guys, they have no shame sleeping with anyone. They will take you as long as you promise to not get attached. The Clubs are definitely not a group for relationships because they know too well the problems with commitments. Another thing, guilt is not a word that you will hear in Clubs' conversations. They don't care what they stir up because they see the drama as a good thing. No one wants to live in a boring town. Flax can thank them for making the town that much more interesting and the Hearts can thank them for keeping their job alive.

SPADES;;

HiGH SCHOOL CHAMELEON

Overlooked and overshadowed by the personality heavy other cliques, but there are so many people that fit into this clique. Their is no one distinct personality that is covered by the chameleons of Flax. This group is broad enough to cover the lover of books and the boys who like eyeliner. That is, of course, if they like to lay low and generally get along with everyone. The Spades are usually not the starter of drama but can't help themselves if they get pulled into the drama. They can blend into any given clique because they fly under the radar. Spades don't stop drama, but they try not to be like the clubs and create drama. They are able to go through their day with out making a scene and on good days, their names can't usually be found up on the bathroom wall. The girls generally have more guy friends than girl friends because guys are just so much easier. Plus, when being friends with guys you don't have to worry about gossip in the girl's bathroom because that would just be odd. The guys generally don't sleep around or get girls drugged to have their way with them. They are most often gentlemen and can be called if ever in a bad situation. The Spades are the shoulders to cry on because they are trusted enough to not spread whatever you tell them. They are neutral, like Switzerland, in a high school full of battling personalities and power hungry boys and girls.
