Originated From: Born and raised in the lovely town of Flax. Quintessa, however, came over to Flax when she was 17 from Italy.

History: At the tender age of twenty, Quintessa Harrington found out that she was pregnant, but with whose baby? After narrowing it down to the usual suspects, a pair of best friends, she settled on Nicolas Garabean. She was wrong. It took her a year after Lucy birth to figure this out.

Once Quintessa told Nicolas, he stormed out. Luckily, they hadn't gotten married and she was able to wrong her right. Later that year, Quintessa married Duncan Ward at a private location with only ten guests. And ever since then, it has been picture perfect... only, not so much.

Their first fight was on Quintessa's twenty third birthday. She wanted to go drinking with her friends, and Duncan tried to remind her than she was now a mother and she couldn't get smashed just for the fun of it. Of course, Quintessa hadn't fully matured yet and through a big fit, just proving Duncan's point that she was a horrible mother. It ended in tears and proved to be Quintessa's worst birthday, ever.

They split up for a year, until they came together to throw Lucy a fourth birthday party. At the time, Duncan was working his way up in his father's law firm and wanted to throw his daughter the best birthday party ever. Quintessa got the pink, princess invitation in the mail and couldn't believe that she was getting invited to her daughter's birthday party. That was the moment when she knew that this had to be a joint effort with the kids.

After the birthday party, Quintessa admitted that she was wrong and after a lover's reunion, they got back together. Nine months later and Gordan Ward was born. The birth is also the date of the start of Lucy's neatness obsession. The four year old saw how dirty Gordy was and declared that she was never going to be that dirty, hence neatness became her main priority.

After Gordy's birth, Lucy became very needy. All she wanted was to be picked up and help her mom clean. She hated being second to the little boy who couldn't even speak. Didn't her parents love her anymore? She became insecure that she could never be good enough, and her insecurity was never fixed. Even now, she never can tell if her parent's think she is doing enough to deserve their love.

Then, the parent's split again. They couldn't stand the sight of each other after the toll of having two young children set in at night. They needed a break. Quintessa went back to school and got her degree in education while Duncan took over the Ward & Buckley law firm. Lucy went with her mother, enduring babysitter after babysitter while her mother took classes. Gordy lived with Duncan, attending trials with his father.

Lucy, who still didn't understand what was going on, though that she caused this. She felt that if she had just controlled Gordy, if she could have made him cry less that her parents would still be together. Once again, her birthday party brought them together. This time, she planned the whole thing. She was turning 12 and was too old for the fairy tale theme.

She controlled every aspect of her zoo themed birthday party, down to what all of her friends would be wearing. Her parent's once again realized how much they loved each other, and got back together at the party. Nine months later, a day after Gordy's eight birthday, Quintessa had the twins.

Lucy didn't understand. Why were her parents not happy with just her? They had Gordy, and now they had Hugh and Haley. She couldn't help but cry. Why was she not good enough? From that moment on, she couldn't control her emotions. What ever she felt, she showed, and she found that she got attention from it. Now, she didn't care if it was positive or negative, she just wanted to be noticed.

Quintessa and Duncan stayed together, adding Shawn to their list of the growing family just last year. Lucy has finally gotten over that her parents love her just as much as they love the other four, but the damage was done. Lucy continues to be emotional and insecure, and while she can't figure out just why, Duncan and Quintessa blame themselves.

Anything Else: Deep brown eyes, standing at 5'6, Lucy Ward oozed elegance. Nothing she wore could have holes in it and she made sure that her slim frame never showed too much skin. She weighed 110, about, sometimes dipping below but never much higher. Her hair, when dry, was a very dark shade of dirty blond and if you didn't know her well, you might even say brown. Tell her that and you'll notice that she gives a very nice evil eye. She never shops at Abercrombie because their shirts rarely reach her belly button and she finds that showing her stomach is very slutty. Her clothes come from thrift shops and little shops around town.

Lucy made sure that she was always put together, never stepping out of the house without makeup and her hair done. She wears clear lip gloss, a little blush and mascara and calls it a day. Lucy hates overdoing makeup because she knows she'll get crap about it from her parents. Overall, she looks like what she thinks a seventeen is supposed to look like: preppy, modern, sophisticated, stylish, well kept, and conservative.

Personality: Lucy Ward was, well, different. Not different like the word to describe and outcast, but there wasn't any way to talk about Lucy's personality. She changed day to day. Lucy was temperamental, at best, and can change on you in an instant. Not one for plans, you could never tell what Lucy you were going to get. She cried, laughed, smiled, frowned, yelled, sighed, whispered, and mouthed off all in the same sentence. But that's what made her interesting.

Besides her multiple emotions, Lucy was a pretty chill seventeen year old. She rarely worried, besides when something was out of place, and could roll with the punches. On the other side of that, she was forgetful and you couldn't count on her. Lucy could swear to you that she'd meet you at the track at 1 and not show up. You couldn't say anything to her about it because she would never remember saying it to you.

Her brown eyes captured you, and her voices kept you. Lucy was a talker, but she rarely talked about nothing. She enjoyed having conversations of substance and talking about things that mattered to her. If you talk to her while she is dating someone, watch out! You will never get the girl to shut up.

Although she can be moody, overall Lucy is friendly. She doesn't want to be judged and therefore tries to keep all her judgments to herself. The seventeen year old loves making new friends, and tries to talk to a new person every day. But, even though she talks to you, she won't declare your friendship until months later. You need to prove yourself to Lucy so that she'll let her guard down. But, once you are friends with her, you won't regret it: the girl throws a damn good party.

Guard is Always Up: After getting burned one time too many, Lucy has her guard up. Her wall is not only high but has barb wire to make sure no one gets in. She likes to keep her friends close and her enemies as far, far away as she can get them. Lucy will only declare you a friend if she knows your whole background and can trust you. There is no in between with her, you are either her friend or you need to stay the hell away from her.

Mood Swings: It's like the girl has her period all the time, you can never guess what you are going to get from her. She can be laughing one minute and crying the next. Lucy can be the biggest bitch but she'll follow it up with laughter an apology so you never can figure out what is going on in her head.

Unpredictable: There is spontaneous and then there is Lucy. She has no set schedule for life and just goes where the wind blows her. Dustin Michaels sat in his car, listening to the rap cd that his brother had given him as a birthday present. He was trying to psych himself up for what was about to happen next, he was about to enter a bar with the one girl that he could say that he loved. And they weren't about to enter it as a couple, in fact, he was entering it knowing that he was still in love with the girl but from tomorrow on she would be unattainable. Not because she didn't love him back, she didn't but that's not what was so horrible, she was getting married.

Married to a guy that Dustin hated, the guy that broke Dustin and the love of his life up. He turned down the radio, letting a sigh slip out of his lips while a tan hand ran through his curly brown hair. He had moved after he had been dumped to sunny California where he had enjoyed sleeping around, developing a tan and a six pack, but being back in his home town he felt like his life was empty.
